EU enhanced sanctions against Venezuela

The European Council has adopted new sanctions targeting Venezuela.

The new sanctions materialised on September 26, 2019 by new designations following the Regulation 2019/1586 which implements Regulation 2017/2063 concerning the situation in Venezuela.

Sanctions are effective as from 27th September 2019 and include a number of members of the inner circle of Maduro including several top ranked military officials.
