FATF celebrates 30 years, Saudi Arabia joins and priorities are set

The June 16th to 21st June 2019 FATF meeting in Orlando was held as part of the 30 years of action of the force.

The celebration included the welcoming of Saudi Arabia to the action force and the enhancement of the cooperation with the G20 (including the G20 report).

As per the key issues to be addresses, cryptocurrencies and their misuse for money laundering and terrorist financing were noted as an issue requiring attention (including a dedicated risk based approach document).

An important agreement was found to strengthen the framework related to the proliferation of mass destruction weapons.

During the same meeting Serbia came out od supervision while Panama joined the list of mo,itored jurisdictions.

In addition to his experience, he has been legal and educational chair in several compliance and sectorial organisations and performed as a teacher and speaker for a number of organisations and in several local and international forums. Furthermore, Mr. Prieto is an experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer anda Data Protection officer with additional experience in risk management.
