Impact of US sanctions over Huawei

Trump’s administration has imposed a number of sanctions and limitations to commercial activities linked to China and in specific, the designation of Huawei Technologies Co Ltd to the trade blacklist.

As par of the aforementioned sanction, Alphabet Inc (holding of Google), decided to suspend businesses with Huawei.

Many wonder if the actions are part of the trade war, some other strategic elements or a way to reduce the advance of China in regards to 5G developments.

Users of Huawei phones will be able to use installed applications and to install further applications via google apps.

Nonetheless, as reported: “Huawei will only be able to use the public version of Android and will not be able to get access to proprietary apps and services from Google,”
