US sanctions as part of the escalation of conflict with IRAN

With the imposition of new sanctions and the designation of Iran’s supreme leader Mr. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, US-IRAN relationships are at a tipping point.

The sanctions limit support and affect assets of the supreme leader and his inner circle.

Finger pointing continues between the two governments for a number of incidents and both parties claim to be under attack by the other party’s allies, as was the case of the US drone taken down by Iranian military.

Later on, sources reported that Mr. Trump ordered and then cancelled an attack to Iranian military targets.

The escalation comes as a follow up to the US retiring from the Iranian deal and the Iranian actions showing no commitment to maintain the deal if the US is not part of it.
